Dune
2026
The Dune Series, designed by Panter&Tourron for New Works, is a furniture collection shaped by contrast — between straight lines and soft curves, industrial precision and sculptural presence, elegance and durability. Conceived for both residential and contract settings, the collection of chairs and tables combines a light visual expression with the resilience required for everyday and public use.
Rooted in Scandinavian modernism and reinterpreted through a contemporary industrial lens, Dune expresses a clear economy of form. Its character emerges through reduction, where structure, gesture, and material are refined to their essentials.
The Dune Chair combines a slender steel frame with a distinctive drop-shaped backrest, from which the collection takes its name. Both graphic and ergonomic, the softly folded element contrasts with the rationality of the structure while creating a visual connection between the backrest and rear legs. In its moulded plywood version, this sculptural form reflects an efficient use of materials, where contemporary manufacturing techniques achieve comfort and structural performance with minimal resources. Available with a chrome or black steel frame and a choice of plywood, plastic, or upholstered finishes, the chair balances visual lightness with functional versatility, adapting naturally to residential, hospitality, and public environments.
The Dune Table extends the same design language through slender steel legs, clean construction, and softened geometry. Sculptural yet restrained, the tables are available in round, square, and rectangular configurations across a range of sizes, offering a versatile solution for both private and shared spaces.
