Tole
2017
Tole is a furniture collection made from corrugated metal sheets, transforming a common and inexpensive industrial product into a refined and luxurious material.
The project explores the ready-made not only as a way to give an object a second life, but as a shift in context and identity. By moving corrugated metal sheets from the architectural scale to the scale of furniture, the collection reveals the structural qualities and iconic appearance of a familiar material.
Each surface is polished, anodised, and lacquered, elevating the raw product into a more sophisticated language while preserving its original properties. The result is a collection that turns the ordinary into the extraordinary, balancing industrial directness with material refinement.
